The Jacksonville Memorial Airport Commission dedicated the new aviation memorial park in Jacksonville on May 15, 2016. The park honors the servicemen and women of the U.S. military who have died in aviation accidents or as a result of their service. The memorial features a 55-foot granite tower with a bronze statue of an eagle soaring overhead. At its base are two gardens representing peace and freedom.

The memorial park is located at the northeast corner of the airport grounds, adjacent to the military terminal building and hangar complex.

The Montford Point Marine Memorial Jacksonville is dedicated to the memory of all Marines who have died in service to their country. The memorial consists of a Reflecting Pool, a Gazebo, and a Monument. The Monument commemorates all Marines who have died in service, including those from Jacksonville. The Memorial is open to the public 365 days a year.

Henderson Pond Trail Head is a great spot to hike in Jacksonville, FL. The trailhead is located just off I-95 exit 143, and the trail itself is just under a mile long. The trail winds its way through dense forest, with a few open spots where you can see the pond on one side and the surrounding hills on the other.
